Although written primarily for professionals, and therefore
somewhat technical, others would benefit from the material covered in this
book. There is a comprehensive section on NLD, which the author refers to as
"right hemisphere LD." Although the author questions the social
skills component of NLD, referring to the disability as one of math and
handwriting, the material provided is informative.

is a wonderful handbook for educators and school psychologists who are
required to provide appropriate support for children with an
identified neurologically based disability.
Although NLD is not specifically listed in the DSM-IV, the
author addresses the topic under "Learning Disorder NOS",
and references Dr. Rourke’s work in this area.
