This book is a great resource for teaching individuals with NLD how to cook. The author assumes no cooking knowledge, and the directions are incredibly specific, including information such as size of bowl needed, what utensil to use, what part of vegetables to keep and which to throw away, etc.

This book is authored by the pioneer of Auditory Integration Training (AIT) in which he clearly and simply describes the auditory system of brain function. He goes on to outline disorders which may benefit from AIT, as well as what the treatment consists of. Although this book is out of print, it is worth reading if you are able to locate it.

Straight Talk About Psychiatric Medications for Kids

Many parents of children with NLD are faced with the issue of whether or not to use medication to deal with anxiety and/or depression.  Until now, there has been precious little information available on this topic.  The author does a wonderful job of explaining what parents should know about psychiatric medications for children, along with the various classes of drugs and what they are used for.  An excellent resource for parents.
