 Oddball

Younger players will enjoy trying to pick out the "oddball" in groups of pictures of animals, shapes, and machines. (Skills: categorizing, generalizing)

 Animals of the World

Players try to identify animals by asking questions they select themselves from a list. The object is to guess the animal from the least amount of clues. (Skills: deduction, problem-solving, critical thinking)

 Cross Four

Players take turns with the computer, trying to be the first to get four characters in a row. (Skills: visual attention, strategic thinking)

 Awesome Analogies!

Players try to beat their highest score by completing analogies ("Cat is to MEOW as dog is to ______") on a Jeopardy-style game board. (Skills: categorizing, reasoning skills)

 Marble Mind
 Mastermind

Two versions of the popular Mastermind game, in which players use trial and error to deduce the colors and sequence of hidden pegs. (Skills: logic, deductive reasoning, visual attention)

 Picture Game

Players get their creative juices flowing by trying to decipher the words or phrases depicted in these "word pictures."  (Skills: creative/lateral thinking)

 Connection
 Rubik's Anglers

The goal in both these games (from the Rubik's Cube folks) is to connect all objects within a grid, without crossing lines. Not as easy as it sounds!  (Skills: problem solving, creative thinking)

 Logic Puzzles

Players use clues that are given, and some that must be deduced, to solve these puzzles. Grouped by levels of difficulty. (Skills: logic, deductive reasoning, critical thinking, reading comprehension.)
