The following residential summer camps have either (a) been recommended by parents of a child with NLD who has had a good experience at that camp, or (b) the camps have indicated directly to NLD on the Web! that they believe they can provide a good camping experience to campers with NLD, and/or would be willing to discuss each camper's needs with the parents, to make this determination on an individual basis.

There are many factors to consider - counselor:camper ratio, staff qualifications and experience in special needs/special education, camp philosophy, etc. - but none are more important than the unique needs of your particular child.  If you believe yours may be ready for a sleep-away summer camp (a very individual decision for any camper, but especially those with NLD), we hope the following programs will be a good starting point in your search for the "perfect fit" for your child.

If you know of any other camp which should be included in this list, please drop us a line at resources@nldontheweb.org.
